JOB DESCRIPTION
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic dinghy specialist and experienced retailer to take over the management of a busy watersports outlet.
The successful candidate will be motivated to give a clear focus to the business and maximize profitability.
Responsibilities include:
• Running the shop on a day-to-day basis,
• Recruitment, training and management of staff,
• Customer relationships,
• Sales negotiations,
• Ordering & pricing,
• Marketing, advertising and merchandising,
• Shop security,
• Takeover from shop owner of most aspects of the business, including customer / product / supplier knowledge and financial management.
The successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate :
• A current interest in and experience of dinghy sailing, including classes, competitions, training, class associations, publications,
• A general interest in other water sports
• Proven sales ability,
• Excellent customer care skills,
• Product knowledge,
• Ability to grasp systems and software,
• Financial acumen: profit/loss / balance sheet / costs / overheads / cashflow

SALARY
Salary negotiable according to experience, plus performance-related bonus
