RETAIL SALES EXECUTIVE

JOB DESCRIPTION

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Retail Sales Executive to join one of the most successful and well known dinghy manufacturing and distribution companies in the world.

This is a relationship sales role part of a small multi tasked sales team that generates sales from the data base, internet, showroom, telephone and boat show/event prospects ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with efficiently.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities include:

• Sell our clients product and support sales of the complete range of other products with the focus of reaching and exceeding their sales targets (units and margins) as set.

• Develop relationships within target sailing clubs/communities as a platform for the successful establishment of the product.
• You will be the customer’s point of contact in the showroom and will ensure that the retail facility is presented and maintained to a brand-leading standard delivering a first Class Service to all customers and prospective customers.
• Efficient monitoring, maintenance and response to all enquiries and leads.
• Working with the Sales Order Processing to ensure that your customer’s orders are responded to in a timely and efficient manner.
• Attendance at all UK Boat Shows.
• Manage/attend /support events and demonstrations as the programme requires.
• Ensure that all relevant customer and prospect data is accurately recorded.

Product responsibilities:

Manage the specific product requirements of the product with regard to: -
• Advise the Marketing Executive on PR Opportunities.
• Planning and undertaking weekly demonstrations to prospective customers with full supervision on the water of the sailing activity.
• Report on market trends in the Market Sector and react quickly to any change recommendations.
• Keep an up-to-date product profile of competitor’s products including latest pricing structure and market activity.
• Class Association development and activity and events.
• Sales Campaign recommendations advising the Marketing Executive.
• Product performance and quality feed back.
• Recommendations for changes and improvements to specs.
• Advising/training other members of the sales team on USP’s and current sales opportunities.
• Working with the Customer Services Manager on the existing customer base.

Candidate profile:

• A background of front line selling. (Preferably in the marine environment).
• Computer literate to advanced level.
• Have an active competitive sailing background in high performance asymmetric keel boats (or similar) as a competent helmsman who will be confident to sail with a mixed ability crew in all conditions.
• Have outstanding communication and commercial negotiation skills.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• RYA qualified (Powerboat and sailing).
• Have a very good understanding with CRM systems.
• Self motivated by sales targets and customer satisfaction.

SALARY


£24,000pa with a sales bonus of £4,500pa plus plus
