Do you have an RYA or IYT Ocean qualification, a solid background of sailing experience and can demonstrate strong leadership abilities under pressure? If so, then Clipper Ventures wants to talk to you.
Each Race Skipper will lead a team of up to 70 novice sailors in the 17/18 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race starting and finishing in the UK. The race will last approximately eleven months and is due to start around July / August 2017.
There is a detailed and intense selection process for these highly coveted positions which will begin in September 2016 and a formal announcement of the successful Skippers is planned for April 2017.
The 12 race Skippers will be part of the overall race management team and are critical to making the Clipper Race a great success.

Salary/Rate: Race start until approx. 1 month after race finish at a rate of £38,000 per annum
