Sunseeker International are the market leaders in the UK Production Boatbuilding market. With an order book full to bursting for 2016/17, the company is experiencing a fantastic period of growth and as such is recruiting across the board for talented individuals to join the Sunseeker family.
Reporting to the Head of Naval Architecture, the role of Junior Naval Architect will exist to support the Design and Naval Architecture team based out of the Sunseeker Technology Centre in Poole. Working to Produce Composite Structural designs and calculations for all major aspects of a vessel, you will work to ensure that your work is to the highest of standards and complies with the various levels of classification and regulation.
The role will be incredibly varied, working across the range, carrying out weight estimates, completing production drawings and speaking extensively with the compliance department to ensure that all works adhere to the likes of CE/RCD/Lloyds or DNV.
The ideal candidate will have graduated with a degree in Naval Architecture or similar and have gained 2-3 years shipyard experience, ideally in a Production Boatbuilding environment. However a strong graduate with a placement year working for a relevant employer would also be considered for the opportunity.
