Vectis Marine Design is an established marine design consultancy specialising in the design of military and professional small craft up to around 35m in length. Our projects are typically to meet complex and challenging military specifications including demanding speed, range and payload requirements, multi-role payload and system integration, and inter-operability with surface ships and aircraft, whilst meeting weight and geometric constraints. We have an impressive portfolio of successful projects and we work closely with some of the world-leading manufacturers of military and professional boats.
To strengthen our team we are looking for an exceptional small craft Naval Architect with a genuine interest in power craft design and construction, and in the military and professional operation of such craft. We expect the successful candidate to have a good 4 year degree in an appropriate naval architecture or engineering discipline and have between 5 and 10 years applicable experience in the marine industry. Detailed knowledge and experience of small craft design and construction is less important than the drive and passion to learn and succeed and deliver interesting and challenging projects both individually and as part of a team.
