Due to an exciting period of new projects, a long established UK brand that works extensively within the world of marine refits is seeking to employ a Project Manager for their in-house team of experts.
Working internationally to carry out high end transformations of all manner of craft, this brand has enjoyed a long career in the marine sector, working a number of well known projects. With a huge wealth of in-house skilled workers, the entire production process takes place in their Hampshire facility, before being deployed to site anywhere in the world.
As part of the service offered to the customer, this employer will provide a Senior PM, PM and Assistant PM (on larger projects) to ensure that the overall project is seen through from initial concept to final product, meeting timescales, cost goals and quality standards. Working at the customers' shipyard of choice, the management team will control the entire process.
Duties will include:
– Taking ownership of assigned tasks within the project
– Assist in further planning before and during projects.
– Monitoring project performance, inputting where possible.
– Ongoing review of staffing, cost and project schedule
This position will ideally suit an individual with a wealth of mechanical and engineering skill. A keen multi-tasker, you'll exhibit some excellent levels of organisation, logisitical ability and possess a keen eye for detail. Coming from a marine background, you'll understand the way a marine refit works and the pitfalls of marine construction/refit. You'll have gained a minimum of 3 years experience in the field of Marine project management, with experience working on projects in excess of £500,000 in value
Salary:
£32-37,000.p.a plus benefits
