Responsibilities / requirements –
• Consumer Media – Execute launch plans for product introductions & Co-ordinate and execute brand communications and retail merchandising
• Co-ordinate consumer media coverage through public relations – Generate all marketing materials and manage distribution. Manage product sampling / gifting programme & service editorial requests and track coverage
• Input into content development of consumer catalogue and website – Produce product copy and specs and sales aid, information and material
• Retail Merchandising – Input into development of product packaging, point of sale materials, including signage, collateral, trade support materials, including all sales, training materials and newsletters
• Marketing Intelligence – Monitor and report on competitor activity. Police market place for potential trade mark / design patent infringements and conduct product benchmarking
• Input into product development briefs for NPD
• Act as a link between sponsors and the Company and co-ordinate sponsor / Company activities
• Act as a link for promotional activity communications
• Deal with special events as required
Candidate Profile –
• Highly computer literate and able to work without supervision
• Marketing / PR / advertising background with some sales experience
• Highly motivated and disciplined in working to deadlines on a limited budget
• Ideally (but not essentially) have sailing or marine trade experience or active involvement in the sport of sailing
