JOB DESCRIPTION
The Position:
. Reports to the Marina Manager and responsible for the efficient and safe day-to-day running of all marina operations functions including wet and dry berthing, boatyard operations, semi submersible operations, security, fuel dock and health & safety
. Often the first and/or main point of contact for the customer and therefore in a position to influence sales and customer satisfaction
. Maximising marina occupancy and revenue through effective allocations of berthing and storage areas
. Act as the Marina Manager's alternate in his absence
Candidate Requirements:
. Educated to degree level, preferably, in an appropriate discipline or sufficient experience in Marina Operations at a senior management level
. A broad and thorough hands-on knowledge of small craft and marina operations, boat lifting, boat handling and towing, plant and equipment maintenance
. Proven skills in boat handling, VHF radio, first aid, fire fighting and boat hoist and craneage operations
. Experienced in the operation of PC-based marina management systems
. Full, clean driving licence
. Proficient swimmer; diving skills would be an advantage
. People management skills
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
