5 AXIS CNC PROGRAMMER / OPERATOR - SOUTH WEST, UK

JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose of Role

To effectively operate and run a large scale 5 axis pattern cutting machine within a busy manufacturing environment. Machining of composite materials.

Main Accountabilities

•    To prepare Toolpathing from CAD models
•    Program/operate CNC machine
•    Responsible for tool selection
•    Carry out routine machine maintenance
•    Meet daily/weekly production targets
•    Work as part of a larger production team
•    Maintain and improve quality standards

Knowledge/Experience

•    Apprenticeship or similar training as a Welder/fabricator
•    Minimum of 5 years experience of Toolpathing/CNC programming
•    Experience of working in a face paced manufacturing environment
•    Experience of working with composite materials is an advantage
•    Experience of using DELCAM software

SALARY
