JOB DESCRIPTION

Subject to qualifications already acquired the following work would be required from a fully qualified Marine Engineer. 

Purpose

• You will required to carry out work which is allocated from the appropriate manager  
• To join a small team of Marine Engineers with their own complimentary skills
• The work will require you to work on diesels & petrol’s, stern drives, inboard & outboard engines
• All vessels will be up to 15m in length and any type of craft such as Ribs, Power boats & yachts
• You will be expected to carry out fault finding and accurate diagnosis of problems
• You will be expected to have good time management for carrying out repairs and replacements 
• Duties will include carrying out other boatyard activities as and when required
• The majority of the work that the candidate will be required to do is in relation to outboard engines. 
• Ideally the candidates will have relevant qualifications in relation to outboard engines 

The candidates that apply must have experience on all types of marine engines and makes. 

The successful applicant will be required to work with a small team of engineers; you will be informed of the work required from you, which will be completed with the minimum of interruption.

The applicant must be confident, well motivated, and up for a challenge.

The successful applicant must enjoy working in a small boatyard, with a small friendly well motivated team.
