JOB DESCRIPTION

An international client whose head office is on the East Coast is looking for a operations manager to join their team, experience of being in a similar position is essential.

The Operations Manager will work closely with the Business Manager to deliver the clients requirements as contracted. 

The operations manager will take responsibility for all aspects of operation including the provision and maintenance of vessels and equipment, recruitment and allocation of staff and oversee the organising of vessel repairs.

The successful candidate will lead the management team in the delivery of agreed contract services as well as to organise and communicate the required movement of personnel to specific departments. 

They will oversee the certification of vessels, equipment and safety appliances and support the development of communications, procedures and appropriate policies.

The ideal candidate will have experience of business operations as well as organising and leading an operations team. 

They will have established experience of working in a COMMERCIAL MARINE ENVIRONMENT as well as managing a remote team, be familiar with working on vessels and carrying out technical and mechanical maintenance.

They will have certification in business or operations management and be experienced in the use of Microsoft Office based packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook. 

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential as well as a flexible approach to the requirements of the role.
