JOB DESCRIPTION

A producer of high end performance and cruising yachts, is looking for a Marketing assistant to work in their offices in Southampton, and manage a global network of dealers. 

They are looking for a post graduate with 3 to 4 years experience in the industry already with outstanding communication and social skills with knowledge and passion of yachting/sailing industry. 
They are looking for the successful individual to be structured, organised and is capable of multi tasking.
To increase the social media and online presence of the company to date as it is a large part of the company’s marketing strategy, an understanding and interest in these areas is essential.

In brief the marketing assistant will be involved in:

• Managing the website – news, updates and maintenance through the content management system.  
• Social media – building upon our online social presence.
• Printed material – magazines, brochures, adverts, posters, event invitations, technical specifications & pricelists, etc.
• Event organisation – social events (including an event per year), boat show stands, dealer events.
• Product Assessment & Market Surveys – assess the market and help develop unique selling points.
• The ideal candidate will have the practical ability to be hands on in delivering marketing initiatives, be able to communicate with our dealer’s worldwide and have an understanding of the company’s website. 
• Experience of using design software such as InDesign would be preferable, but not essential.
• The role will be based in our office in Southampton but you should be willing to travel when required.
