The Company
A prestigious design and construction company who is situated in Oxford, covering the leisure marine industry with the products that they design and produce are looking for a Development Engineer/Design Engineer to join a hands on small technical department.
The Role
The role will involve you working closely with the production line and the management team to develop the world class leading products that they already produce.
You will be expected to carry out a hands-on approach with developing products from a concept to pre-production with testing being done on prototypes and feedback being given to your line manager.
The Candidate
The successful individual will be working closely with the product design manager taking on a hands-on approach with identifying and solving product/production line improvements.
As a key member of the team you will be involved with the contribution to develop a world class leading product. The successful individual will be expected to carry out the following but not limited to.
Lead the development of products and projects
Provide technical support to production and sales departments
Liaise on technical matters with component suppliers
Produce, maintain and manage technical assembly and manufacturing drawings
Assist management in decisions relating to design and development
Involvement in product on-water testing
Assist in the building and testing of prototypes from concept to pre-production stage
The successful individual will need to have a degree or equivalent in engineering, who is computer literate with Solidworks or NX, as well as having a basic understanding of marine engineering and electrical systems.
