JOB DESCRIPTION
Main responsibilities include:
Responsible for the achievement and delivery of annual targets in line with associated Key Performance Indicators.
Responsible for achieving the sales budget in the allocated geographical area (East Coast UK).
Effectively manage all allocated customer accounts.
Attend various shows, customer open days and training courses in line with the business needs.
Build on existing and develop new key customer relationships within geographical area.
Understand the market, products and develop new opportunities and prospect accounts where appropriate.
Ensure that all allocated customers continue to be satisfied with the service they receive.
Communicate with and support internal sales colleagues to offer the level of customer service required.
Travelling to meet customers face to face is a prerequisite of this role.
Promote company products wherever possible through a professional sales approach.
Provide support to other group business units as required.

Any other duties reasonably requested that are deemed appropriate and commensurate with the level of the post.
Provide reporting on the following:
Monthly/Weekly Activity Reports
Monthly Budget Review
Key Performance Indicators set by Sales Manager
Additional reporting will be necessary and often on an ad hoc basis, depending on activities
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience of operating at a sales management level within the marine industry or similar markets is essential.
Experience of successfully managing large retail/corporate accounts.
Must have a proven track record in negotiation with large accounts.
Knowledge of the Marine Industry and how it operates.
Experience of forecasting for sales, sales opportunities and converting this into actual business.
The ability to understand and seek out new business opportunities.
High level of proficiency of Microsoft Office skills.
Have good organisational skills and have the ability to work with tight deadlines and sales targets.
Excellent communication skills; must have the ability to communicate at every management level in writing and verbally.
Confidence to present product ranges, demonstrations and tests to customers, consumers and press.
The ability to travel within the UK.
