JOB DESCRIPTION
A boatyard in Cumbria is looking to recruit a mechanical engineer with experience on Volvo Penta engines as well as other engine manufacturers, as well as working knowledge on stern drives and heating systems.

Purpose
You will be required to carry out work which is allocated from the appropriate manager
To join a small team of Marine Engineers with their own complimentary skills
The work will require you to work mainly on Volvo Penta engines, but experience on other engine types would be desired.
You will be expected to carry out fault finding and accurate diagnosis of problems on stern drives and Volvo Penta engines
You will be expected to have good time management for carrying out repairs and replacements
Duties will include carrying out other boatyard activities as and when required
It would be desirable if the successful candidate has a boat lift license

The successful applicant must enjoy working in a small boatyard, with a small friendly well motivated team.

Salary

£25,000 - £32,000
21 days holiday plus statuary amount and 2% pension
