This role is focused on developing new business, supporting and servicing existing customers. Working in a very busy office the job is suited to candidates who are highly motivated and can generate successful results. Your time will be split between the highly successful OneSails GBR Orwell based sail loft and Evolution Rigging our partner business.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Working in a small team you will be responsible for developing new sales opportunities in the sails and rigging markets and delivering fantastic customer service.
  • You will be involved in the conversion of new enquiries and quotations for both new sails and rigging.
  • Updating the companies CRM system, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a sales pipeline, recording all sales activity.
  • Attend exhibitions, regattas and other related events.
  • Weekend work as required

Experience:
  • General marine knowledge
  • Eager to learn
  • Computer literate to a high standard
  • The ability to work to targets
  • Comfortable with proactive interaction with customers and colleagues
  • Punctual and well presented
  • Ambitious
  • Driven, with a positive can-do attitude
  • A proven passion in sailing, especially yacht racing or cruising 
  • Outgoing and comfortable in 'face to face' customer situations.
  • Whilst not mandatory, a formal pleasure boat industry qualification (e.g. boatyard management, ship science) would be advantageous.

  • The ability to generate ideas and present solutions when problem solving.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
This role will suit a hard working and career minded individual who wants to combine their passion of sailing with their professional ambitions.
Salary:
£20,000 – £30,000 pa depending on experience.
