GENERAL PURPOSE DECKHAND - £20,329 - SOUTH EAST, UK

JOB DESCRIPTION

General Purpose Deckhand
(based Gravesend, Kent)

The Marine Services Department are seeking two positive and willing individuals to operate a variety of craft, principally between Central London and Gravesend.  In addition to general craft maintenance and cleaning duties, the work includes provision of mooring maintenance, salvage operations and pollution control, as well as work ashore at the Denton Wharf, Gravesend base.  Relevant marine and/or river experience is needed, although specific training will be provided.

Successful applicants must have a current full driving licence and be physically fit.  Ideally, you should also hold a current MCA Boatmasters' Licence.

You will be employed on a 35-hour day-work week and there is also a requirement to cover all operational duties outside of the normal week on overtime conditions.
