JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is a world leader in providing specialist global marine security systems. They cater for a variety of high end clientele including the mega yacht and shipping industry.
Their software engineers enable the latest intruder alarm systems, integration, and global tracking systems.
Following successful development and exciting contracts recently placed there are expanding their team of installation engineers.
This is a very diverse; challenge and rewarding role; working on Superyachts and other commercial craft based worldwide, areas include but not limited to Caribbean; Netherlands; Mediterranean
You should be a qualified marine electronics engineer experienced with navigation and communication equipment with experience in both recreational and commercial market.
You will have worked with leading Manufacturers such as:
Furuno, JRC, Raytheon, Thrane & Thrane / Sailor, Consilium, Sam Electronics, Transas and Kelvin Hughes
Previous experience of installing security systems would be a significant advantage
You must be available for regular travel over sees at very short notice; it is possible you could be working on specific projects for several weeks.
Predominantly you will be working on your own with support from the UK office.
Key responsibilities:
• Installing new systems onboard ships
• Demonstrating systems to client
• Working with onboard engineer
• Warranty support and servicing for existing clientele
• Up selling of product advising of potential upgrades
