JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is a world leader in providing specialist global marine security systems. They cater for a variety of high end clientele including the mega yacht and shipping industry.
Their software engineers enable the latest intruder alarm systems, integration, and global tracking systems.
Following successful development and exciting contracts recently placed they are expanding their team of installation engineers and managers.
Assisting the project manager in running a team of installation engineers you will have specialist knowledge of marine security systems.
This will ideally be aboard Superyachts however a background from military and offshore industry such as oil and gas is also very relevant.
You will have solid experience and training of installing marine electronic products and relevant software integration; along with operational experience of key systems such as Galaxy.
This is a very diverse; challenge and rewarding role; working on Superyachts and other commercial craft based worldwide, areas include but not limited to Caribbean; Netherlands; Mediterranean
You will also have experience with navigation and communication equipment in both recreational and commercial market. Working with leading Manufacturers such as:
Furuno, JRC, Raytheon, Thrane & Thrane / Sailor, Consilium, Sam Electronics, Transas and Kelvin Hughes
You must be available for regular travel over sees at very short notice; it is possible you could be working on specific projects for several weeks.
Key responsibilities:
• Installing new systems onboard ships
• Demonstrating systems to client
• Working with onboard engineer
• Warranty support and servicing for existing clientele
• Up selling of product advising of potential upgrades
