The main responsibilities are:
1.Check and approve the technical content of quotations for power units, repairs and service and installation jobs
2.Produce or supervise the production of all circuit diagrams and drawings check and approve the technical content of these drawings.
3.Produce or supervise the production of all of CE documentation and manuals.
4.Initiate constant improvements to ensure we stay ahead of the competition. Provide direction and promotion of new more efficient and effective designs for Marine and Industrial products.
5.Work towards implementation and maintenance of written procedures on manufacturing service and installation. Implement and document procedures to ISO9001 standard so that in the future we can adopt a recognise quality standard.
6.Provide technical support and training to the staff of the company.
7.Perform research and development to design and develop new products.
Skills
1.Back ground in mechanical design preferably within the marine industry.
2.Ability to produce quality designs and manufacturing drawings in Solid Works.
3.Hydraulic experience preferable but extensive training can be provided.
4.Able to cost new designs for the sales department to sell profitably.
5.Ability to manage projects from conception to production meeting targets and deadlines along the way.
