The Company:
An exciting buying opportunity has just opened up in the UKs largest chandlery chain. Force 4 Chandlery has been at the forefront of UK marine retail for over 30 years and now has a chain of 14 shops and an ever-growing mail-order and web presence.
The Role:
As Force 4 expands, so does the need to keep offering our customers the best and latest products at the best prices. You will assist the head buyer in all aspects of purchasing, quickly increasing responsibility while you gain experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising, meeting and managing suppliers
- Involvement in new product selection
- Supply chain management, from supplier to retail shops and website
- Stock file management
- Stock control, stock performance and sales analysis
- Assist with clothing department of the company
Ideal candidate:
You will have an interest in/background knowledge of boats (motor or sail), be a good multitasker, have confidence in building good working relationships and have good commercial awareness.
No previous experience necessary; the successful candidate will gain expertise in all areas of the purchasing process. Candidates with experience will also be considered.
