Company Description

A prestigious engineering, ship repair, conversion and fabrication company with locations throughout the UK who have been established for many years covering many market sectors, are now looking for 2 project managers to join their team. There world class ship repair yard has been involved with some of the largest projects to be built in the UK with many exciting projects planned in the near the future.

The role

The role will involve you managing projects and working closely with a team of individuals, to ensure that the project is achieved both on time, with in specifications, budget and to the company’s expectations. You will also be responsible to see a project through from tender to completion as well as understanding many operational requirements within the organisation, experience of the financial requirements for a project along with managing purchasing of materials, organising resources and sub-contractors is essential. As an individual with will be monitored on targets which will be set by the company, that will monitor budget costs, management of sub contractors and resources being used.

The candidate

To be a successful applicant with this role you must have experience in the following areas, managing multiple large scale projects, experience in ship repair and a degree or equivalent in the marine engineering industry.

As well as being able to manage many large scale projects at once you need to have experience of managing a project from tender to completion, understanding HR and operations, firsthand experience of being the only project manager managing projects from start to finish, building and maintaining relationships that are already formed with customers, as well as meeting/exceeding their expectations.

The package

£40,000 - £55,000
25 days holiday
Pension of 4%
Quarterly bonus dependant on company targets
