JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a Leading SuperYacht Builder located in the Great Lakes area. We are currently in search of an experienced “Naval Architect” who will report directly to the Head of Engineering.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:

    General engineering and structural calculations as well as naval architecture calculations.
    Ability to communicate with and be responsible for obtaining plan approval from Class and Flag Societies.
    Ensuring designs adhere to project specifications and to document control rules.
    Working closely with our international design team.
    Designing in Auto-Cad and 3D software applications.
    Frequent communication with the design team, suppliers, clients, and project managers.


QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

    Formal qualification as a Naval Architect with 5 years of experience.
    Experience with Classification Society Regulations and Flag State Rules is essential.
    Experience in engineering calculations, hydrostatics & stability.
    Experience with aluminum and composite construction is essential.
    Design / Drafting in Auto-Cad and 3D software applications for production.
