Berthon Boat Co Ltd is a family business located in the desirable town of Lymington between the Solent and the New Forest.
Amongst its diverse range of activities, Berthon builds & repairs lifeboats for the RNLI, repairs boats for the MoD and has a very active yacht refit business.
Berthon has a solid financial base, with no debt, strong balance sheet, and turnover and profit increasing year-on-year during the recession.
MOD Contracts Manager
The successful candidate will be familiar with how MOD procurement works and be an expert on boats and boat maintenance. Experience with tenders and tendering will be an advantage.
Responsibilities include:
Following up enquiries from MOD
Preparation of tenders
Liaising with sub-contractors regarding specifications & costs for work not carried out in-house at Berthon
Obtaining signed orders
Invoicing & the collection of payment
