JOB DESCRIPTION

 Ocean Safety Ltd is seeking to appoint a Service Technician to join an expanding area of the business.

The successful applicant must have experience working in the marine industry and be conversant with safety requirements onboard both commercial and leisure craft.

He or she should be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate with a variety of customers from large multi-nationals to individual boat owners.

This will be a very customer facing position which will require a large amount of direct interaction with customers ranging from Ships Captains, Ships Superintendants, Super Yacht Skippers and all other owners and their representatives.

The dynamic and resourceful candidates responsibilities will include EPIRB servicing and programming, Lifejacket servicing, as well as working within the cylinder test and filling plant. Good communication/customer skills are vital as well as good administrative and computer skills.

Candidates must be prepared to work off site if required, be able to work independently and communicate with ships crews as required. This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a new and expanding area of the UK's largest independent marine safety equipment supplier.
