Employee Requirements

A primary requirement is a high level of proficiency with TIG equipment in both stainless steel and aluminium. Ability with stick welding will be additionally required. Current certificates for TIG skills will be required for the Bermuda immigration application.

Must be self motivated and capable of working alone.

Detailed plans are often not available so it is necessary to work from written specifications and sketched drawings at times. Some jobs require that measurements are taken on site and the specification developed in the office or workshop. This will primarily be undertaken by the owner/manager especially at first, but a willingness to engage in this aspect of the operation will be expected. Mathematical ability would be required for this (basic trigonometry at least).

Once a specification, plan, or drawing has been developed the employee will be expected to take the job through all stages of fabrication to finished product ready for installation.

Ultimately the employee will need to obtain a Bermuda driver’s license for the van (as a commercial vehicle this will require secondary immigration approval) so ability to drive a manual gear-box vehicle is important.
Any certificates for the appropriate fabrication and welding skills held will be useful in preparing the Bermuda immigration application.
