JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client, a leading Yacht Design Company, is looking for an experienced Yacht Designer/Project Manager to work on projects based in their London Office.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and develop projects, acquiring key information and discussing requirements with clients to determine the purpose, cost, and technical specifications of projects.
* Oversee all design issues and liaise with and assist other designers and project managers on their projects.
* Meet weekly with Team Leader to review and report on project requirements
* Manage and monitor detail design development and implementation of own projects.
* Formulate and produce designs to present to current and prospective clients which are practical, aesthetic, and conducive to the intended purposes and establish final briefs
* Prepare detailed working drawings and designs, plans, models and schemes, using CAD 3D Modelling and CAD 2D Drawing skills in conjunction with the Client Brief.
* Work with outside consultants, model makers, visual artists
* Research, record and analyse information;
* Review processes of interior procurement on all team projects to ensure cross fertilisation of experience through all projects.
* Monitor shop drawing reviews and implementation of own projects.
* Liaise with the interior department to monitor decorative liaison and implementation of own projects.
* Review all contract /legal matters, project financial matters, merchandising matters, time forecasting and programming issues.
To succeed in this role you must have a relevant Degree or HND qualification with a proven record within the superyacht industry, advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, excellent design and organisation skills, and proven experience designing yacht projects of 70m+

£45,000 pa
