JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client, a traditional yard offering traditional shipwright services requires a time-served marine engineer to join their established team.
You are expected to be proficient in all mechanical aspects of vessels from 3 metres to 36 metres, having a good knowledge of fresh water, domestic and salt water systems.  Some knowledge of hydraulic systems would be preferable.

Knowledge of bilge systems, black/grey water systems, heating systems is required along with engine/gearbox installation including ancillaries and alignments.

This should extend to fault finding, maintenance and servicing of all aspects of a diesel engine and be familiar with most propulsion and steering systems.

You will have a good knowledge of workshop machinery including lathe and milling machines.

A driving licence is essential.
Security vetting will be required.
