JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced Manager to run the marine side of our club.

The Job involves:

Managing a team of 3 full time and other seasonal employees
Overseeing a full RYA training programme for Dinghy sailing and Windsurfing
Delivering youth training sessions
Managing the winter haul out for over 60 yachts
Managing the maintenance of 100 yacht moorings, 11 RIBS, 4 committee boats, tractor, hoist and other motorised vehicles.
Responsibility for 750 dinghy park spaces and monitoring utilisation
Attending Committee meetings and producing reports
Planning and organising sailing events
Organising the equipment needed for Club racing and sailing events
Responsibility for delivering within a set budget
Looking after the Health and Safety for the marine side of the operation


The ideal candidate will have:

RYA Senior Instructors qualification
Boat yard or marina operations experience
Dinghy Racing  and/or Club Racing organisation experience
Great communication skills and good man management skills 
Excellent administration abilities and a flexible approach to work
Experience in managing budgets and achieving results
Solid understanding of health and safety
Diplomatic with experience of working with volunteers and committees


Candidates must be willing to work most weekends and school holidays

Salary  Circa £27-30K per annum  depending on experience
Bonus payable on achievement of objectives
Pension scheme available
