JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic Dinghy sailor to help the owner rebuild the company to its former glory.
In 2002-3 W&W was able to invest in doubling the size of the premises employing 7 staff and doing £ ½ million turnover.
Today the owner is currently investing in upgrading the website to enable the company to compete in the current market.

The owner’s health and age precludes him from do this on his own and is therefore seeking to employ an enthusiastic Dinghy sailor capable of living up to this challenge enabling the owner to transfer ownership to his colleague eventually.

Any prospective candidate should not underestimate the challenge of this role and of working with the owner but the owner is interested in providing practical and financial support.


Main Responsibilities:

As Retail Manager assuming full responsibility for all retail activities as soon as possible with support from the owner when necessary
Manage the shop in opening hours
Stock control
Provide product advice and suitability of use
Manage the online sales, including despatch
Provide after sales service

The ideal candidate will:

Be an enthusiastic dinghy sailor with knowledge of dinghy classesPractical and ideally educated to degree level. 
IT literate and the ability to learn new systems quickly including Website, Stock Control, Supplier and Customer Databases
Knowledge of marketing and social media
Customer focussed
Be knowledgeable to offer advice on all watersports products and thier use.
Have knowlege of managing a cash flow (budgets)
Expereince within Retail Sales would be beneficial.

This is a salaried position with the option to (potentially) acquire a stake in the business eventually in the longer term.
