JOB DESCRIPTION

An extremely interesting  position, where the successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of workboat construction and design.

Proficiency in AUTOCAD essential and knowledge of RHINO preferred.  A working knowledge of marine engineering and systems would be a definite asset.

Candidates should understand that although the primary function of this position is to supply the fabricators with construction drawings, the position is of a varied hands-on nature and would involve shop floor activities from time to time.

A salaried position with some flexibility in hours.

Duties to include:

Preparing structural/construction drawings for the team of fabricators.
Creating DXF files to send to the CNC plasma cutter.
Preparing General Arrangement drawings for the purposes of proposals.
Although primarily a CAD based position, the role will require a degree of designing/problem solving throughout the build process.
