JOB DESCRIPTION
A full service electrical company serving the cruise industry worldwide is seeking an experienced electrical project manager to join their team.  This position will be based in Fort Lauderdale but will involve regular travel to various ports of the world to oversee dry dock projects and interface with customers.

Job Description:

•  Project management of all electrical work for many of the leading cruise ships in the world.
•   Manage multiple, large-scale projects simultaneously, and monitor costs to assure projects operate within budget.
•  Will oversee all Electrical projects from the initial quotation to the customer, to the sign off at the end of the job.
•  Work may include all types of Electrical, Lighting, Public Address, Network Infrastructure, CCTV or Entertainment system's anywhere in the world, at sea or on land, in dry dock or under way.


Requirements:

• Four year degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
• Experience preferred in the role of Chief or First Electrician, or equivalent of cruise ships/Large Passenger ships.
• Experience managing large-scale ship refurbishments and technical installations.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in marine electrical work is required (new build/dry dock vessel survey and management experience).
• Must be able to handle complex electrical installations, full Network design and installation, house lighting, public address and paging, automation and entertainment from small sound systems to theater installations.
• Ability to make critical decisions regarding vessel construction/renovation with regard to stated regulations, pressing timelines and controlled budgets.
• Must have a valid passport and the ability to travel for extended periods of time for ship refits.
•Strong communication skills, ability to present complex problem resolutions to clients
•Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and distinctly.
• Proficient with MS Office, skills with MS Project and CADa plus but not required.
•Travel approximately 50-75% of the time.
