JOB DESCRIPTION
The role
The company has a successful design heritage with offices all over the world providing the services to the offshore industry, and with the increase in demand of the services that they can provide. They are now looking for a number of very experienced naval architects to join there company with ship or super yacht design experience. The opportunities are mainly based out of the Dundee office but there is the possibility it could be elsewhere.
The candidate
The company is interested in seeing CV’s from experienced naval architects with a ship or super yacht design background. You will need to have extensive experience of using Maxsurf/hydromax, Strand7 or NavCad
The successful individual will have to be prepared to move to Dundee on a permanent basis for the position.
In your role you are expected to come up with innovative designs for the clients that you are dealing with.
There is an element of the role which will involve you dealing with the clients and developing the working relationship regularly.
You will also have understand what is needed for their projects and a direction that they want to go in.
The successful individual will need to have a good technical understanding of the industry and be able to speak to clients with the knowledge they are requiring, and provide them with advice for their designs
The detail
The role will be based at the UK head office in Dundee and may involve international travel to their other offices.
Salary
£40,000 - £65,000
