JOB DESCRIPTION
Represent McMurdo Group/Marine products in selected region


  • Manage sales to a set forecast and profitability grow regional sales making recommendations for improving our market position
  • Develop and maintain strategic working relationships with assigned clients and understand each client's technical and business needs
  • Maintain a key pursuit list and associated activities in CRM system
  • Make sales call needed to initiate new business and document in CRM
  • Manage sales opportunities from qualification to close, including preparation of quotations, presentations and negotiation
  • Provide weekly and monthly sales reports as requested to manager and quarterly forecast updates
  • Manage sales through distributor channels, maintaining regular contact with each distributor to ascertain future sales opportunities, market developments, competitor activity, on hand inventory, promotional activities planned and how they are performing
  • Coordinate and facilitate post-sales support and customer training
  • Provide key customer relationship management
  • Support/lead creation and implementation of market and customer development strategies and plans
  • Establish and meet yearly, quarterly and monthly sales budgets
  • Harnessing individual company, and group internal synergies and market opportunities
  • Cross-company exploitation of products, services and markets
  • Work closely with marketing to develop go to market strategy and materials
  • Will have some reporting responsibility to the group level national sales manger


Education Requirements

  • Technical Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience


Experience Requirements                                                              

  • Proven experience of successfully working in sales management within the maritime industry
  • Proven experience of successfully working in a fast-paced, international, and emerging technology company environment
  • Experience with key account management and business capture plans


Skills and Competencies Requirements

  • Ideally candidate would be fluent in French  
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of customer and business requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Quickly adaptable in different situations
  • Ability to work well in a pressurised environment
  • Possesses enthusiasm and vision with an imaginative and creative flare
  • Highly self-motivated with a proactive work ethic approach
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com (or similar CRM) a must
  • Cultural awareness
  • Regional travel required
