JOB DESCRIPTION
A leading organisation within the leisure marine, superyacht and small commercial marine sectors is recruiting for a Technical Executive to work within their busy Technical advisory department which provides expertise, guidance and effective lobbying on technical and environmental issues.

The successful candidate will report to the Technical Director and require a broad technical knowledge of the industry and legislative framework, notably the Recreational Craft Directive, ISO Standards and MCA Codes.

To fulfill the key aspects of the role, you will require a degree in a technical or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience. Membership of a professional institution such as RINA, IMarEST etc. would be considered an advantage.

The position will involve direct contact with member companies, Government Agencies, national committees and International Working Groups, so a confident communicator with good presentational and negotiating skills is required.

In addition, the position will require the drafting of articles to the Technical Report, updates to our client’s Website and running training courses as required.

A degree of travel within the EU should be expected.
