Berthon Boat Co Ltd is a family business located in the desirable town of Lymington between the Solent and the New Forest.
Amongst its diverse range of activities, Berthon builds & repairs lifeboats for the RNLI, repairs boats for the MoD and has a very active yacht refit business.
Berthon has a solid financial base, with no debt, strong balance sheet, and turnover and profit increasing year-on-year during the recession.
Paint Manager
To specify, cost, quote, sell, manage & invoice all painting operations from complete re-sprays with AwlGrip, International & other 2 pack polyurethane paints, to small components and repairs, varnishing and antifouling.
Including:
- Following up enquiries from customers
- Liaising with paint manufacturers regarding specifications & application data
- Viewing boats to draw up technical specification
- Costing labour and materials
- Quoting customers
- Obtaining signed orders & deposit payments
- Managing labour & materials for all painting jobs
- Scheduling work through 4 x spray paint booths
- Managing all painting projects
- Managing paint compatibility & adhesion tests
- Recording paint application data
- Invoicing & the collection of payment
- Day to day man management of painting team of skilled painters & apprentices
- Organizing cleanliness, housekeeping, service & maintenance or repairs of all painting equipment & paint facilities.
Salary – £35,000 – £40,000
