We currently have a vacancy for a UK based Service Engineer to join the team and carry out service, diagnostic, repair of all Consilium fire and gas alarm systems on board a variety of vessels from workboats through to cruise ships.

Electronic Engineers with HNC/HND or BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma Electrical/Electronic Engineering (College leavers are also encouraged to apply)

ROLE 
We currently have a vacancy for a UK based Service Engineer to join the team and carry out service, diagnostic, repair of all Consilium fire and gas alarm systems on board a variety of vessels from workboats through to cruise ships. There is also the future possibility to expand into service and repair of our other equipment such as VDR, speed logs and Emission Monitoring systems. 
 
AREAS
You will be based in Kent, Rochester. However, your working area will be on board vessels around the whole of the UK. 
 
PACKAGE AND BENEFITS for this job
  • Basic salary is between £15,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.

  • Training (Initially at NL office), Company phone + laptop + tools, 25 days holiday
 
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
  • Education HNC/HND or BTEC Level 3 in an Electronics / Electrical discipline.
  • Must be prepared to work away from home, be customer orientated, enthusiastic and, motivated.
  • Capable to work on your own initiative but also as part of a wider team 
  • Able to work to the highest of standards with good problem solving and diagnostic capabilities.
  •  Full driving license
 
DESRIABLE
  • BOSIET or OLF certification
  • Past experience in a service industry as well as an in depth knowledge of the wider maritime community.
 
Location: Rochester, Southampton, Glasgow
You will be based in Kent, Rochester. However, your working area will be on board vessels around the whole of the UK. 
 
Salary/Rate: £15-30k (depending on experience) + Overtime + Company Car + 25 days holidays
