Have you recently graduated with a degree in Yacht Design or similar and seeking your first professional opportunity? Do you have a strong portfolio of work in either the sailing yacht or motor yacht industries and experience on component development and design?
One of our UK based clients are looking to recruit a Junior CAD Designer/Technician as a new addition to their team. Working on a range of craft, this individual will sit within a sub-team working on component development for new products. This could range from a door hinge to a hatch, a railing to a portlight. Ideally you're skilled with Rhino and Autocad, however further software packages would be an advantage. You'll be a creative individual, able to think on your feet and work to predefined timescales within a busy design team.
Your duties will include taking sketched 2D/3D ideas through the modelling phase in Siemens NX and then back to 2D for Production drawings. Your main focus will sit around interior furniture, however from time to time you will be expected to jump on tasks for other build areas.

Interview process will include a face to face interview and software demo/basic test to assess your skillset. Please be aware that, if invited to interview, that this process will take 2-2.5 hours.
Salary:
A starting salary of £21,000 per annum with periodical review up to a salary of £23,000. Further benefits will also apply.
