Swallow Yachts are looking for a Production Manager to join us in Cardigan, West Wales. The role will involve considerable time on the workshop floor, leading and organising a growing team of boatbuilders (currently 10), producing high spec craft to crucial timescales.
The role will require:
- An experienced manufacturing and people manager:
- Well organised with the ability to work in a logical, systematic manner.
- Confident in managing challenging situations with the ability to act and solve problems decisively.
- ICT literacy to deal with various technologies and programmes.
- The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team, managers and clients.
The role will entail:
- Supervising, assisting and motivating a team of skilled boatbuilders, while working under the pressure of tight deadlines.
- Assessing project and resource requirements and working with others to agree and manage timescales.
- Continuous monitoring and improvement of quality standards within a health and safety framework.
- Reviewing team and individual performance and identifying training needs.
