JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is the leading global supplier of advanced composite structures for the Architectural and Marine markets. With over 600 employees and 3 manufacturing sites in Dubai, they offer a global turnkey solution - designing, engineering, manufacturing and installing lightweight composite components.
We are seeking a Senior Supervisor to run their Milling Machine operation. The role will involve close liaison and co-ordination with the Design Manager and Production Manager to ensure timely scheduling of manpower and material resources.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Make timely decisions to maintain production output and be able to quickly analyze situations and provide direction to production staff.
- Oversee set-up and programming of machine tools
- Assign work to meet production schedule
- Optimize performance of machine tools
- Implementation of corrective action and improvement plans, as needed;
- Define and implement training and assimilation of new employees on the shift
- Drive continuous improvement activities
- Communicate, administer, and ensure compliance to Company policies for safety, environmental, attendance, etc
Job Experience and Requirements:
- Excellent working knowledge of 5- axis CNC milling and turning machines (specifically, CMS/F Zimmerman) and associated cutting tools and techniques
- Comfortable with PC based applications (Windows, Office etc)
- Able to read complex Drawings
- Experienced in scheduling the shop floor and managing resources
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
- Experience with all forms of measuring methods and GD/T tolerances
- Previous G-code programming experience
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a precision machine shop environment
