SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - £65,000 OTE - PORSTSMOUTH, UK

There is a great opportunity for a senior sales professional to drive & deliver sales at YachtWorld.com, the most popular website in the recreational marine industry. As the business expands we are looking for a dynamic and focused individual to hunt and secure European wide sales opportunities. If you are confident, have passion and charisma with a proven track record of over 5 years high level sales experience then, we want to hear from you. You need to understand the role that the internet plays in both a marketing and sales environment, an understanding of the leisure marine market would be a distinct advantage as would a second language.

Job Accountabilities:
  1. To lead new business development strategy in consultation with the M.D.
  2. To proactively drive and deliver sales through developing trusting relationship between our clients and YachtWorld by understanding clients' specific needs to ensure customer loyalty and maximum account growth.
  3. To be an expert in the core products of the business and how to apply them to the individual needs of the clients.
  4. Ability to create solutions for customers whilst understanding their impact on the client, their business and YachtWorld.
  5. Agree realistic deadlines and solutions for customers and the business and manage any difficulty over how to accomplish them.
  6. To ensure delivery to the customer through thorough follow up and customer feedback.
  7. To operate within a team environment to achieve both team and personal targets, communicating and informing where necessary and ensuring all documentation is accurately completed.

Person Specification:
  • Exemplary sales skills - an ability to see a sales opportunity, create leads and convert them to sales, handle objections confidently, effectively communicate benefits and features, ensure ongoing delivery and, through effective account management, ensure that the customers' future needs are met.
  • The focus and drive to succeed and determination to overcome any obstacles.
  • Strong customer focus and the persistence to deliver.
  • Well organised through attention to detail. Organised and thorough, able to prioritise and self manage appropriately
  • Relationship skills - the ability to build a quick rapport with customers whilst remaining professional and knowledgeable.
  • Charismatic presence - proactive, inspirational and dynamic. A force for good with a professional approach representative of YachtWorld.
  • Enthusiastic and resilient
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations where necessary and influence to a win/win solution for both the customer and our business
  • Communication skills - excellent written and spoken English, a second language would be beneficial.
  • Willing to learn and personally develop, able to give and receive feedback and coaching
  • Marine industry knowledge or interest in boats is preferable

SALARY
