JOB DESCRIPTION
UNITEAM MARINE is actively involved in all aspects of ship management. Offices are based in Cyprus, Germany, Myanmar, Lithuania, Ukraine and Singapore. The group is active in full management, operations, crew management, technical management, financial administration, consultancy and ISM/ISO 9001:2008 services. With more than 30 years of experience, the firm manages a fleet of vessels ranging from 2,000 to 170,000 dwt comprising of Multi-purpose, Container vessels and Bulk carriers under various flags.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The suitable candidate will be responsible for:
- Technical Training on board vessels under our Management
- Developing a training plan/check list for the Engine Department in co-operation with the Marine Department and all other company Departments
- Developing a reporting matrix for internal use; close contact with the Fleet Personnel, Technical, QSE/RRC and Training Department is required
- Assisting the ship's command, officers and ratings by giving theoretical and practical advice and detailed explanations to Engine Department on issues to be raised during the training sessions
- Motivation of crew
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Chief Engineer's license
- Strong analytical and excellent communication skills
- Long-standing seagoing experience
- Excellent command of the English language
- Flexibility and willingness to travel worldwide
- Experience in working in a multicultural environment
- Previous teaching experience or experience in a similar position will be considered an advantage
The On Board Trainer - Technical will report to the Marine Department.
UNITEAM MARINE will offer an in house training for the appropriate candidate.
Due to working permit restrictions, only applications from EU passport holders accepted.
