JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is the leading global supplier of advanced composite structures for the Architectural and Marine markets. With over 600 employees and 3 manufacturing sites in Dubai, they offer a global turnkey solution - designing, engineering, manufacturing and installing lightweight composite components.
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC manager to run their Quality Department, thus supporting all quality issues within their operation. The role will involve close liaison and co-ordination with the Design and Production Managers to ensure high quality output is maintained.
The position would suit a talented and well organized individual with at least 10 years experienced, well versed in manufacturing, possessing an excellent understanding of fibre reinforced composites.
Specific role includes (but not limited) to the following:
- Management of multicultural QA/QC team according to company standards (appraisals, discipline, training, development, etc).
- Development of team with a fundamental understanding of composites
- Implementation of systems for successful achievement of ISO9001 qualification
- Development of processes to maintain standards relating to company wide and customer specific requirements.
- Development and maintenance of systems to measure performance against established standards, and provide feedback to key stakeholders.
- Establish and implement communication strategy for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments.
- Report as necessary on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and on performance against standards.
- Liaise and co-operate with quality management and standards bodies
- Liaise with customers and suppliers where necessary (where impacting/affected by quality issues)
- Contribute to executive policy and strategy
