JOB DESCRIPTION

X-Yachts' design team is looking for a Naval Architect/Engineer to work in the UK branch.  You will be a member of an enthusiastic team working on new yacht development.  The position available is for an experienced engineer responsible for structural design and analysis. 

Our expectations

Education in Engineering/Naval Architecture.  YPD, Ship Science or similar.
Minimum 5 yrs design office experience preferably with production small craft.
Experience with GRP small craft structures, knowledge of the ISO and ABS rules.
Must be AutoCAD proficient.  Experience in parametric 3D modelling is preferable (We use Unigraphics NX).
Attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
Knowledge of yachts and sailing is a 'must'.  Preferably you are a keen sailor like most of the members of the team.
Occasional travel to our Danish site may be required.
