Looking for an interesting managerial job in a wonderful lakeside location?

Burghfield Sailing Club is looking for an enthusiastic manager to help with the administration of BSC.  This is an opportunity to work for a customer focussed business and be involved in the development of the club.

Burghfield Sailing Cub is a thriving club with nearly 600 members, situated near Theale and Junction 12 of the M4.  It is open 365 days a year catering for racing enthusiasts, recreational sailors and their families.   The club also provides a venue and facilities for a number of open sailing events, training and external functions throughout the year.

The Management team, being at the heart of the club with influence or control over all activities, will also be responsible for encouraging and managing the volunteers who do much of the work of the club.

The successful applicant will be highly motivated over a flexible working regime covering the full week that will include support of activities and evening meetings. He/she will be responsible for generating new memberships as well as driving and maintaining the current membership through personal initiative and working with the Committee on marketing and fundraising.


Requirements

Essential

    Strong administration, communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
    Excellent IT and MS Office skills
    Organized and conscientious with excellent customer facing skills
    Be able to develop, manage and sustain effective working relationships with people at all levels both within and outside the club
     Interest in sailing


Desirable

    Marketing experience
    Book-keeping or accountancy experience
    Powerboat qualifications
    Based in the local area


Terms of employment: 
There is currently a full-time manager who is reducing her hours.  The new role/s will provide management cover Wednesday to Sunday and could be met by a full-time person or two part time people job-sharing.  This will involve some weekend work.  Salary negotiable.
