JOB DESCRIPTION
Lewmar is a long established and leading UK manufacturer of leisure boating equipment.
Based in Havant, Hampshire with 2 manufacturing & engineering sites, Lewmar supply a network of Marine Distributors throughout Europe, Asia and beyond.The role is UK based (Havant, Hampshire) with occasional overseas travel

We are looking for a motivated Sales Co-ordinator to join our distribution sales team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their role into a customer account management position as experience and knowledge grows.

The ideal candidate would have/be:

•     Experience of the marine industry and/or marine products.
•     Computer literate with competence in Excel.
•     Ability to develop new business on the telephone & face to face.
•     An enthusiasm for working in a diverse environment which includes the potential for international travel.
•     A self-starter with excellent communication skills as well as being organised, structured and able to work under pressure.

•     Language skills beneficial but not essential.

Reporting to the Distribution Sales Manager, you would be responsible for day to day support of the customer base. You will explore new sales opportunities and support the Customer account managers in their management of key accounts as well as being directly responsible for a number of smaller customers.

The role may suit somebody already working in an office based retail or distribution environment (ideally in the Marine Industry) that is looking for the next step in their career and the opportunity to join a major UK marine business. However, we welcome applicants from all backgrounds as a lack of business experience can be made up for with a natural ability to learn quickly and a positive 'can do' approach.


Starting salary is dependent on previous experience but guideline £19,000 to £22,000 GBP per year.
Salary will progress as the role develops.
