JOB DESCRIPTION

International Distributor Manager

Profile
Experienced Sales Manager, driven and excited with the prospect of travel, the role is to maximize the sales via an established and professional Distribution channel. Previous experience of managing Distributors would be preferred but not essential, but an enthusiasm to succeed is vital. The role will involve the management and mentoring of a front line sales person and account support team.

Purpose of Position
Manage all business and its growth with Distributors worldwide (except USA).

The key aims are to develop a consistent and methodical sales approach to:
  • Increase sales via pro-active selling and Distributor support.
  • Maximise ‘mind share’ of our client as a lead product within the Distributor.
  • Develop an annual Business Plan with all Distributors.
  • Maximise the brand promotion and exposure.
  • Mentor and directly manage a sales person to support the delivery of objectives.
  • In specific territories, there are some direct OEM Accounts that would also need to be managed.
Duties and Responsibilities

1. Distribution Management (Distributor & OEM)
  • Develop a consistent method of distribution management to increase sales and develop our client’s brand.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with the allocated Distributors, maximizing their sales effort and ‘mind share’ for our client, maintaining a pro-active business for the Distributor.
  • Take sales ownership of all allocated accounts, coordinating all aspects of the selling process.
  • Manage a territory sales person to deliver on goals, achieving a consistent and professional message in line with the whole Distributor network.
  • Work with Sales Director to develop a sales strategy for each account.
  • Deliver a bi-annual Distributor Conference and plan and deliver an annual training seminar.
  • Conduct regular visits, carrying out relevant sales training.
  • Present quarterly forecast updates for each account.
  • Work closely with your account support team to maintain the highest service level.
  • Maintain a database of all new boat projects and quotes.
  • Working with the Marketing Manager, maximize Distributor marketing engagement.
2. Project Management/Super Yacht Business
  • Manage the database of all super yacht projects.
  • Take sales ownership of each allocated project, coordinating all aspects of the selling/commercial process.
  • Work with the relevant Project Support, to aid the servicing of each project.
  • Offer a high level of technical management to the projects, liaising directly with the key influencers and customers to maximise our client’s opportunity.
