SENIOR STATUTORY SPECIALIST - £35,000 - £40,000pa – SOUTH, UK

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the world leaders who specialise in safety of lives and assets in the marine industry.

They are looking for an experienced statutory specialist to head up new environmental movements happing right now in the commercial marine sector.
This is a new position working with senior statutory specialists in a lively office environment.

Job requirements:
Technically strong, you will have good communication skills and a willingness to find solutions to problems raised from all areas of the Marine business. We are looking for a candidate with:

• Knowledge of marine classification and statutory certification commensurate with practical experience of surveys or plan approval of a wide variety of ship types
• An excellent command of the English language – the work will involve the writing of surveyor guidance materials
• Membership of an appropriate professional institution
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status
• A degree or equivalent from a recognised tertiary organisation within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years programme) or qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship’s officer

SALARY
