JOB DESCRIPTION
The Parts Controller role is central to the company’s effectiveness. The role ensures jobs are completed on time by providing parts to the workshop and helping to keep control of the company’s profit and cash. This is done through the tight running of the stores and accurate capturing and recording of information relating to the movement and use of parts around the organisation.
Specific Responsibilities:
The Parts Controller role is central to the company’s effectiveness. The role ensures jobs are completed on time by providing parts to the workshop and helping to keep control of the company’s profit and cash. This is done through the tight running of the stores and accurate capturing and recording of information relating to the movement and use of parts around the organisation.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Monitoring of stock levels
- Placing orders with suppliers/ replenishing stock
- Budget management
- Using company systems to keep items properly logged and correctly organised
- Collating and organising items for jobs
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role before or be able to demonstrate:
- A knowledge of engines and engine parts
- Experience in boat fixing and boat hardware
- Experience of working in an office with good computer skills including data processing and use of Excel.
- Exceptional organisational skills and show a strategic approach to working.
- Ideally has worked in the industry, perhaps in a marine parts store.
This is a great opportunity for the right person to slot into a small, well established team. There is potential and encouragement to develop the role over time. The role is for an immediate start therefore candidates must be available within the next four weeks.
