As part of a further development of their International Shipbuilding operations, a large shipbuilding brand are currently seeking an experienced Base Manager/Senior Manager to join their team.
With a number of shipbuilding operations across the Middle East, the Base Manager will be responsible for overseeing the majority of operations on site, covering anything from HSE to logistics, Engineering to Procurements, ensuring that all departments are operationally sound and in keeping with company policies.
You will be based at one of 8 separate sites in the region, working with both your direct team, but also a number of international third parties, supplying a range of parts and services to the overall company. As such you will need to show a high standard of discipline, excellent communication skills, and above all, the ability to multi-task and delegate
You'll ideally have come from a background with one of the major Shipbuilding brands, either in a Commercial or Defence discipline, and be used to working in both the UK and also some of harsher climbs in the world (Saudi Arabia, Northern Africa etc), resulting in a rounded skillset.
This is a long term contract role with an initial offering of 24 months, but with likely extension thereafter. The successful candidate will be provided with accommodation, a number of return flights to your home country and a company vehicle if applicable. This represents a fantastic opportunity to be involved with a very large scale project with long term potential and an exciting package
The role will be interviewing in July/August for an October 1st start
Salary:
£55-60,000.p.a NET salary plus accommodation and flights
